Behind Sweet Munchkin Design is me — Svetlomira Minkova.

For as long as I can remember, drawing has been my way of understanding the world and giving shape to the stories in my imagination. What began as childhood sketches slowly grew into a place where illustration, colour and emotion meet.

Sweet Munchkin was born from a simple wish: to bring a little wonder into the everyday.

Everything I create begins humbly — with a pencil and a blank sheet of paper. I invent the concepts, sketch the characters, work through every little detail, and bring each idea to life before transforming it into embroidery.

From the first drawing to the final stitched detail, every design passes through my hands.

This is a small, independent, one-woman studio powered by curiosity, late-night ideas and a love for finding beauty in unexpected places.

My work is colourful, playful and sometimes a little strange — filled with animals, imaginary characters, tiny jokes and stories made to be worn.

Here, colour doesn’t simply decorate. It has personality.

And embroidery isn’t just decoration either — it turns an illustration into something tactile, lasting and a little bit magical.
