Why I drew him
Because Apostol Karamitev had a rare kind of charm.
There was lightness in the way he played, but never superficiality. He could be witty, romantic, thoughtful and deeply human without ever seeming to force it.
“Защото аз все си мисля, че...” feels almost like an unfinished thought — the kind that stays in your head and invites you to complete it yourself.
That is exactly why I wanted it to live beside his portrait.
