Georgi Partsalev remains one of the most beloved names in Bulgarian theatre and cinema — an artist who could make people laugh, feel and remember, often all at once.
This illustration is part of my ARTRIOTI collection — a tribute to Bulgarian actors, writers and cultural figures whose words, faces and presence still stay with us.
Why I drew him
Because Georgi Partsalev carried something rare — humour with heart.
There was gentleness in his presence, but also wit, warmth and a very special emotional intelligence. He could be funny without ever losing depth, and touching without ever becoming sentimental.
“Няма да е делфин това. Любов ще е.” is the perfect line to accompany his portrait — unexpected, tender and unforgettable.
